The Children, Youth and Adult Ministry’s of Southview Baptist Church exists to lead people to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ and for edifying believers through open Bible study groups that engage people to Know Christ, Grow in their faith, and Go in power to serve Him through evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, worship, and missions. Groups are offered at different Day’s and times for individuals of all ages from infants to senior adults, led by loving, Spirit-directed teachers.

Nursery Division – We provide your little ones with a loving and caring environment staffed with a wonderful group of individuals striving to ensure a pleasant experience for each child. At the 9:30 and 11:00 hours, we have three rooms. The babies are in our Little Lambs room, our 1’s are in our Darling Ducks room and our 2’s are in our Lively Lions room. Our Lively Lions will have an age appropriate lesson at 9:30. Each room is staffed with a minimum of two adults. Parents are given a beeper or number that is assigned to that child which is used to reach the parent if needed and for checking their child out of the classroom. Our nursery is built on a Christian foundation.

Preschool & Kindergarten Division – Journey Kids Jr. is the small group ministry for 3 year olds through Kindergarten at 11:00. In Journey Kids Jr., children are discovering God and His truths. They are beginning to understand that God made them, loves them, and has a plan for their lives. Discovery Kingdom is the ministry that 3 year olds- Kindergarteners have the opportunity to learn about God in during the 9:30 hour.

Children’s Division (1st Grade – 5th Grade)- Journey Kids is the small group ministry for 1st-3rd graders. Journey Kids is designed to teach kids about their need for a savior, give children the opportunity to respond, and teach kids the importance of making Jesus the leader of their life’s journey. Grapple is the small group ministry for 4th and 5th graders. Grapple digs into God’s word to see what God says about real issues that preteens face. Both JourneyKids and Grapple meet during the 9:30 hour. During the 11:00 hour, children 1st-5th grade participate in KidsView Worship. This ministry uses a large group and a small group approach to worship God, teach His Word, and apply it to life.

Youth Division (6th Grade – 12th Grade) – The teachers of our youth department seek to get God’s Word into the hands and hearts of the students. Students are led to a deeper walk with Christ and one another as they study God’s Word together with loving, Spirit-led teachers. At 9:30, there is one class for middle school students and one class for high school students.

Adult Division – We offer a variety of Journey Groups that help lead adults to grow in their faith, go in power and experience life with one another in Christ. The Groups are setup with different age ranges and various interests. We encourage you to visit around the various Groups until you find the one that best fits you. The general age ranges provided are merely for your informational purposes only. All of the Groups offer relevant teachings that are applicable to your daily life. This Group is made up of energetic, mature, dedicated believers age 50 and up who love the Lord and one another. Lifeway quarterly curriculum is used to study God’s Word together. Current Study: “Explore the Bible” Psalms

This Group is made up of loving ladies with a general age range of 60 to 80. It is a more traditionally structured Group that uses Lifeway quarterly curriculum to study the Word.
