At Southview Baptist Church, it is our desire to offer God’s people a worship experience that draws us all closer to His throne. As we gather each Sunday morning, we strive to maintain an atmosphere of true, heartfelt praises for the only One who is worthy.

The SBC Worship Team consists of many individuals with one common goal: to offer a sweet sacrifice of praise to God, our Father. Some of the team members are very visible (band and vocalists), while others are never seen nor heard (audio/visual and tech support). Each one’s job is of the utmost importance and unity among all members is critical to what we do.

Oddly enough, our worship team is not made up of professional musicians, but of servants with hearts and attitudes of praise. We are blessed with a few members, who have music education backgrounds, but most of our group consists of people whom God has given an ability to sing or play an instrument and who chooses to use that God-given talent to serve Him in the role of worship leader.

Our worship music incorporates some of the newest songs that you may hear any day on Christian radio, as well as new arrangements of standard hymns that most of us, who were raised in church, can sing from memory. On most Sundays, you’ll hear a full band with piano, drums, keyboard, bass guitar, lead and acoustic guitars, and vocals. And occasionally, we may surprise you with some “unplugged” worship music. But rest assured we strive to always be submissive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. And you know - He can be pretty unpredictable at times!

The SBC Adult Choir consists of men and women who love the Lord and love to sing praises to Him. This ministry meets on Sunday evenings from 6:00 - 7:30 pm.
