Administrative Ministries
Personnel Group
The Personnel Group seeks to represent the church to the staff, and the staff to the church. They oversee all matters related to the hiring and evaluating of church staff.
Finance Group
The Finance Group seeks to carry out the purpose of the church through the appropriation and use of church funds.
Corporate Board
The Corporate Board represents the church in legal matters, but only to the degree they are given direction to do so by the church body.

Journey Groups Ministry
The Journey Groups Ministry is the small groups ministry of Southview Baptist Church. (include link to info under Connect)
J.O.Y.
J.O.Y. stands for Just Older Youth. The J.O.Y. Ministry seeks to minister to the members of our congregation who are 60 and over.
Children’s Ministries - Children's Sunday School Teachers and Assistants
KidsView Worship, Discovery Kingdom, and Journey Kids
KidsView Worship, Discovery Kingdom, and Journey Kids are worship opportunities for children at an age-appropriate level that take place Sunday mornings.
Nursery
The Nursery Ministry seeks to provide a safe, clean, and fun environment for children ages 2 and under.

Children's Activities
Southview provides special fun opportunities for children at various times throughout the year, including Vacation Bible School, a Fall Festival (October 31st), Skate Nights, and an Egg Hunt.
Worship Ministries
Baptism
Volunteers assist in the preparation and celebration of baptism at our morning services.
Worship Visuals
Volunteers serve the congregation by running the sanctuary computer to provide graphics that enhance the worship experience.
Sound Team
Volunteers control the sanctuary sound board and work with the Worship Ministries Director and Choir Director to provide an optimal experience for worship attendees each week.
Praise Team
The Praise Team is comprised of individuals with a passion for worshipping God in song. These volunteers join with the Worship Ministries Director in leading the congregation in worship in song each week.
Choir
The Choir is made up of people who love to sing, and are committed to assisting in leading the congregation in worship through specials that are sung on Sunday mornings and through seasonal productions.
Worship Band
The Worship Band consists of people with musical talent who wish to use their skills to worship God by playing an instrument as part of the worship experience on Sunday's.
Care Ministries
Deacons
The Deacons of Southview seek to provide loving care and direction to the Southview family. Our Deacons are part of a ministry team, not a decision-making board.
Fellowship Group
The Fellowship Group helps to plan for, and direct, special churchwide events including special meals and celebrations.
First Impressions
The First Impressions Ministry seeks to make guests feel welcome by providing kind Greeters at each door, helpful Ushers serving in the sanctuary, and caring people at the Welcome Desk to provide information and direction.
God's Heartbeat
God's Heartbeat is our intercessory prayer ministry that prays for the pastor and worship services. Prayer partners pray with the pastor prior to the worship services, and pray for the services throughout the hour.
A New Way of Life with Christ--Recovery Group
This Christ-centered recovery group meets Monday evenings at 7 PM.
Psalm 91 Ministry
The Psalm 91 Ministry is a ministry to our military families, especially during times of deployment.
Support Ministries
Building and Maintenance Group
The Building and Maintenance Group oversees the facilities and campus of Southview Baptist Church.
Information Technology Group
The IT Group assists with various technological tools utilized by the church to enhance ministry.
Transportation Group
The Transportation Group oversees the maintenance and use of the church buses and those who drive them.
Special Events Coordination
The Special Events Coordinator represents the church in the use of the church facilities for events other than normal church functions. These include weddings, funerals, etc.
Service Recording Group
These volunteers assist in the recording of our worship services and the copying of DVD’s and cd's for distribution.
Missions Ministries
Operation Outreach Operation Outreach is a ministry where all the church Ministries come together to “GO” and share the Love of Christ outside of our church walls. We have neighborhood walks, give out water, popcorn, snow cones, and Frisbees at our local park, visit local rest homes, visit and pray for our local Law Enforcement and Fire Departments.
Face to Faith Homeless Ministry
The Face to Faith Ministry seeks to show the love of Christ to the homeless in our region. Rather than providing a handout, this ministry seeks to provide a hand up.
Life of Christ Easter Drive Thru
Each year, the Southview family shares the story of Jesus through live scenes from the life of Christ depicted around the perimeter of our parking lot. People drive thru and see and experience the life of Christ in this unique way.
WMU
The WMU is a women's missions organization that meets monthly.
Missions Group
The Missions Group leads our church to involvement in special missions projects in our area, and oversees the appropriation of funds for missions purposes that are supported by the church.
Specialty Ministries
HopeKeepersHopeKeepers is a ministry to those who live with a Chronic Illness. It is our prayer that your connection with this ministry will provide a safe and caring environment, where you will receive hope, encouragement from God’s Word, experience the love of God and receive ongoing support. We meet every 1st and 3rd Tuesday of every month.
