We welcome you to the nursery at Southview Baptist Church. It is a privilege to serve God by caring for the smallest of His children. Our program consists of three rooms. Babies, age 1 month to 12 months, are cared for in the Little Lambs room. When babies reach 12 months of age and are steady walkers, they are promoted to the Darling Ducks room. At two years of age, toddlers are promoted to the Lively Lions room. In the Lively Lions room, children receive an age appropriate Bible lesson and participate in Bible learning activities. Our volunteers are a select group of individuals who care for God’s precious children and model a Christian attitude. We believe all children are an important part of the church; therefore, we strive to provide a loving, safe, and comfortable environment. The safety of the children in our care is very important to us. We follow specific guidelines and procedures developed to ensure that safety. Depending on age, a numbered security tag or beeper is assigned during check in and must be returned for check out. A viewing window is available in the babies’ room so parents may look in on their little one at anytime. Parents are also welcome to visit their child’s classroom at anytime to give that peace of mind that their child is being well cared for and is doing “alright.” A nursery is provided for all regular church services and for most special events.
